I have a client with self-employment income using the alternative method (off-calendar fiscal period). When I take a look at line 5 of Schedule 6, the amount does not match the total of my client's self-employment income , is this normal?

This situation occurs for a self-employment income with a fiscal period that does not end on December 31 (alternative method). The program reports the amount that does not take into account the adjustments coming from the additional business income (current year and previous year).

As a workaround, override line 5 of Schedule 6 with the amount from line 141 (farming).*

* depending on the type of business, other possible lines are 135 (self-employed), 137 (professional), 139 (commission), 143 (fishing).
